History: The Entlebucher Mountain Dog, the smallest of the four Swiss Mountain Dog breeds, originated in the Entlebuch valley of Switzerland. Bred to drive and guard cattle in the Alps, it is a determined, tireless working dog with excellent herding instincts. Its compact build, intelligence, and devotion make it a reliable farm helper and a loyal companion. Though still relatively rare, the Entlebucher is gaining recognition for its versatility, agility, and loving temperament.
